Behind this domain:

Behind this domain is a man with a million ideas. At least one for every occasion, but usually many more. I have always been known for my lateral thinking and speed at which I can grasp both new and existing ideas. This should be proven by the content of this site.

Random Madness was created by me with the intention of bringing all of my experiences and ideas together into one place. A place where both artistic creativity and sound technical practice can be collated without the constrictions of time and space. My goal is to continually develop this site in order to spread these ideas and plant seeds that may lead to greater things for all concerned.

I have been a Computer Technician for the majority of my working life. Working for smaller companies doing the simpler things such as Laptop Repairs and installations, through to the larger organisations dealing with both Internet security and Internal Network administration.

For the meantime I am a Self-Employed computer technician based in Somerset, between Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury. I specialise in Computer repair and technical support. But am very capable in all of the following fields:

  • PC Repair (Software or Hardware. Nearly always done in your home)
  • Laptop Repair (Laptop Repair is a specialty and I spent 4 years as an engineer in a company dealing specifically with Laptops)
  • Apple Macintosh Repair (Mostly Software repairs as Hardware repairs tend to be done by Macintosh)
  • Web Design (Whether you are looking for a simple web presence or a commercial E-commerce package, I am able to offer in-house design or outsource the building of a tailored corporate solution.
  • Broadband Setups (ADSL, PPPoE. Single Machine or Networked)
  • Network Installations (Wired or Wireless)
  • Firewall Installations (Securing your Internet Connection and Internal Network)
  • Remote Administration (Repairing your network from wherever I am)
  • Spyware and Adware Removal (Nearly always the reason that your computer now performs at half it's original speed)

I am lucky enough to have the freedom to enjoy my spare time in a beautiful part of the world and also have the security of knowing that there will always be people in rural Somerset needing a Computer Technician with a smile on his face and time on his hands.

Given more time and less reason for working my time would be spent perfecting my juggling and unicycle skills. No matter how long I juggle for I will never reach the point where there isn't more to learn. Even now I can think about juggling 5 balls behind my back or some crazy mess with 7 clubs.
